Senior Treasury Analyst

MISSION

As a key contributor to First Majestic Silver Corp’s global treasury team, the Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for all aspects of cash management and forecasting, as well as the management of the company’s treasury management system. The successful candidate will be technology savvy, proactive and an analytical thinker with sound planning and monitoring skills.  The successful candidate will also be passionate about process improvement, efficiency and controls.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Support all aspects of day-to-day cash management including world-wide cash positions.
  • Evaluate inputs from various sources and prepare/maintain daily and short-term cash flow forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis.
  • Evaluate the cash forecast versus actuals and recommend funding strategies.
  • Manage the treasury management system (Kyriba) including ensuring accuracy and relevance of all data and maintenance of reports.
  • Manage bank accounts, banking platforms and credit card programs (opening and closing), analyze services, fees and income.
  • Oversee the short-term investments and borrowing, including administration and interest payments.
  • Implement or recommend controls, procedures and policies for cash management, investments, foreign exchange and reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of various monthly and quarterly treasury reports.
  • Assist in financial risk management including foreign exchange.
  • Assist in metal sales administration and analysis including future metal streaming sales.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA or university degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of multi-currency corporate cash management experience, including treasury management systems, banking platforms, debt facilities and foreign exchange.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Excel.
  • Experience with Kyriba, SAP, automation and IFRS are definite assets.
  • Excellent knowledge of treasury best practices and identifying process improvements.
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy and precision.
  • Strong organizational, quantitative, analytical, research and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to self-manage deliverables and meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with both internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, both local and international.
