First Majestic Silver Corp. is a Canadian-based mining company with silver and gold operations located in Mexico and the United States. We own and operate four producing underground mines in Mexico: the Los Gatos Silver Mine (the Company holds a 70% interest in the Los Gatos Joint Venture that owns and operates the mine), the Santa Elena Silver/Gold Mine, the San Dimas Silver/Gold Mine, and the La Encantada Silver Mine, as well as a portfolio of development and exploration assets, including the Jerritt Canyon Gold project located in northeastern Nevada, U.S.A. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, maintain, and refine complex financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, investment evaluation, and capital planning
  • Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and develop insights and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Conduct valuation analysis including discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and accretion and dilution modelling
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive briefing materials
  • Support business development initiatives through market research, competitive analysis, and financial assessments
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions activities including due diligence, financial modelling, risk assessment, and integration analysis
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Operations, Corporate Development, and other cross-functional teams
  • Perform financial analysis for strategic initiatives, special projects, and operational improvement efforts
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across reporting processes
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Support the continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting frameworks, and analytical standards
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CFA designation completed or near completion is required
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a similar analytical environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting mergers and acquisitions and business development initiatives
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and financial statement analysis
  • Advanced financial modelling skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience working in complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environments
  • Experience with financial systems and analytical software
  • Experience in a public mining or manufacturing company with international operations is an asset
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Written and verbal fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are an asset

Base Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000. Note that actual base salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant experience, prevailing market conditions for the specific role, and internal equity.

 

The First Majestic team values collaboration and connectivity; Vancouver-based employees are required to work a minimum of 4 days in our downtown office.
